Kaitiakitanga Awards

 

Felix and Pieter are our Kaitiaki Award Winners!

All the children in Ahuriri are amazing kaitiaki of our school however two children stand out as being very special.  Felix and Pieter are very proactive in looking after our school. They are brilliant when it is tidy up time at making sure everything goes back in the right place.   They are always on the look out for any rubbish to pick up and they love being in the forest to make sure the plants are growing and cared for.  We are very proud to award Pieter and Felix with the Kaitiaki Award!

Blue and White for Ukraine

The children have been told about the children who live in a country that needs some help.  That country is Ukraine and their flag is Blue and White.  The children were so delighted to bring in their coins today and know that they would be helping these children in need.

A Selection of a day in Ahuriri

 Ahuriri is a wonderful place to be full of motivated learners who respect each other.  Here is a snap shot of part of our day.

 The children love to play and explore in the forest.  They have some great ideas about how we can look after it so it will last for generations!
