Connecting with our new friends in T3

Welcome back to Term 2!

We are excited to be back at school. We have loved seeing our friends again and it's been so much fun to meet the new children in T3.

Kotahitanga is our value of collaborating and in child speak this is;

Help and encourage others

Our certificate awards go to Jackson and Beckett this week. We have seen that these two can work well with a wide range of children always sharing ideas and taking turns. They are especially good at noticing others who need encouragement and help. We are so proud of them.

 

Whanau Art Competition

All the children designed a piece of art to support their whanau group for a competition.  The awesome news is that Ashley Fisher won for Team Whero! He was presented with some really cool art materials as a prize!

Kaitiakitanga Art

As part of our values the children have looked at art to show the whenua (Land) and wai (water).  We introduced the children to koru art and the use of different mediums, pastels, vivd, paints and dye. We are really impressed with the children's use of korus and colour to represent the care they want for the land.
